Men can be physically abused. It is very common and accepted in our everyday lives. Jokes are made about it. Entertainment media uses groin injuries in comedic scenarios. These can be serious injuries.

Men get hit or slapped by their partner and a common observer’s reaction is to think “What did he do to deserve that?”

We are conditioned to not see what is in front of our eyes everyday. Men are physically abused and we ignore it.

A good litmus test would be to switch the gendered pronouns and ask if it sounds right. i.e. “She slapped him” vs. “He slapped her”.

Truth is unwanted violence is not acceptable whether you identify as a child, woman, or a man.
