Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Food Donations Coordinator to assist with the management and distribution of food donations at our facility every Saturday. This role is essential to ensuring that clients in need receive fresh, nutritious food, and it involves both picking up food donations from local businesses or food partners and distributing them among clients present at the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize and Sort: Upon arrival, organize and sort food donations by type (e.g., canned goods, fresh produce, dairy, etc.) for easy distribution.
  • Distribute to Clients: Interact with clients in a friendly, respectful manner, and assist in distributing food to those present at the facility.
  • Maintain Records: Keep track of the types and quantities of food donated and distributed for reporting purposes.
  • Ensure Cleanliness: Help maintain a clean and organized donation area during and after distribution.

Requirements:

  • Time Commitment: This role requires a commitment of 2-4 hours each Saturday.
  • Physical Ability: Ability to lift and transport boxes or bags of food (up to 25 lbs).
  • Interpersonal Skills: Comfortable interacting with diverse groups of people, including clients, volunteers, and staff members.
  • Dependability: Must be reliable and punctual, as this role involves coordinating and managing time-sensitive tasks.
