One-on-one individual counselling with a mental health professional can be of great help when working through emotions related to relationship problems, separation and divorce, social isolation, family issues, and low self-esteem.

CCMF Alberta counsellors provide personalized, one-on-one attention to clients dealing with individual or family issues, depression, or anxiety. They have been selected to join our team because of their interest in men’s mental health and sensitivity to the uniqueness of the male experience, particularly during intimate relationship breakdown.

Reducing financial pressure.

Fees are assessed on a sliding scale according to your income. That means you pay only what you can afford. We aim to ensure income level is not a barrier to participation in any of our programs.

Depending on your current health insurance provider or employee benefit plan, it is possible for services to be covered in full or in part. Please contact your provider to verify how your plan reimburses you for mental health services.

We recommend asking your insurance provider these key questions to help determine your benefits:

  • Does my health insurance plan include mental health benefits?
  • Is there a maximum amount covered per session or a maximum annually?
  • Does my plan limit how many sessions I can have per coverage period?
  • Do I need written approval from my primary care physician in order for services to be covered?
