A 6-week virtual program for men to explore mindfulness, build self-compassion, and navigate life’s ups and downs with awareness. Led by Bob Dawson, one of our Men’s Peer Support Group facilitators. Together, you will explore how mindfulness can gently but profoundly shift how we experience life’s ups, downs, and in-betweens.
Bob brings lived experience with depression and social anxiety, and credits mindfulness and self-compassion with his own healing and growth. Since joining CCMF in 2023 through the CMHA School of Peer Support, he has supported client intakes, facilitated peer groups, and now serves on both our Advisory Board and the National Board of Directors. He also volunteers with Distress Centre Calgary and is completing counselling and mindfulness teacher training.
The total cost for this program is 25$. It is recommended, but not required, that participants purchase the book Mindfulness: An Eight-Week Plan for Finding Peace in a Frantic World for the course.
