Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is a 40+ year highly researched and evidence-based application of mindfulness meditation and group process work that assists participants in reducing unhealthy stress and making sense of the stressors in one’s life.

Thanks to the generous support of our sponsors, we are partnering with Bonnie Kowaliuk from Senses Mindfulness Coaching to offer this program at no cost to those accepted into the program.

We are inviting our community to a free information session about MBSR on Tuesday, January 19 from 7-9pm through Zoom meetings.

Participating in MBSR training helps one to realize what Its founder, Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn, defines mindfulness as, “paying attention, on purpose, non-judgmentally in the present.” The bottom-line is that MBSR teaches one how to stay calm and centered while maintaining one’s perspective during stressful times and everyday life. It teaches one how to respond as opposed to react to stress. MBSR is a means of creating a dynamic and healthy relationship with one’s thoughts and emotions.
